Marking almost exactly a year on from their first ever performance, ROOT! took the re-painted stage at The Spanish Club. After apologies for starting late, ROOT! rocked through thirteen tracks, including Root 66 as the opening track - which DC mentioned was the first song they played in their first set.

During the concert - as DC apologised for the "shit sound" citing the bands before them as also sounding "shit" and blaming the room - the set was halted. Henri held up a bag as Steve and Barnaby played Happy Birthday. Explaining that since midnight had struck, it was now June 8 and Doug Lee Root's birthday, DC presented Doug with a card and a t-shirt. He seemed sutably embarrassed.

It was at this gig that the Get Up Yourself single was announced.
