The ROOT! Compendium - Lyrics
All lyrics © ROOT!
Get Up Yourself
Get up, get up yourself
Get up, get up yourself
You'll never look back if you're all front
To get anywhere you gotta be a c-c-c-confident person
Get up, get up yourself
Get up, get up yourself
If you want a self help remedy,
Then repeat after me - one, two, three
You say: I love myself
I love myself
Again, I love myself
You're the cat's whiskers, you're the kitchen sink
You've got to positive think 'til your shit don't stink
Make philanthropy your cunsultancy
For a six figure fee by talking "Me, me, me"
Get up, get up yourself
Get up, get up yourself
Longevity is so last year,
No talent, no limit, no brains, no fear
I love myself, I said
I love myself, ah well
I love myself, ah yeah
Three cheers for the juice bar lady,
Mad props to Mr. Microsoft[1]
Give it up for the guys from Google[2]
Televise the magnate's funeral
Three cheers for Mr. Facebook[3]
For giving a wall[4] to the movie star,
Make a spokesman, father of the year
Pop star here's your ARIA[5]
Money coming out your ears ain't reward enough
Not having the working man's fears must be pretty tough
With so many on the breadline, it's lonely at the top
Spare a thought for those who are better off
It's not soul, it's solipsism
It's not soul, it's solipsism
It's not soul, it's solipsism
It's not soul, it's solipsism
It's not soul, it's solipsism
It's not soul, it's solipsism
It's not soul, it's solipsism
It's not soul, it's solipsism
It's not soul, it's solipsism
It's not soul, it's solipsism
Solipsism
Solipsism
Solipsism
It's not soul, it's solipsism
Solipsism
Look it up.[6]
