STOP PRESS: SPANISH CLUB SHOW MOVED BACK ONE WEEK!

AFTER ANNOUNCING FROM THE ESPY STAGE ON SATURDAY NIGHT THAT ROOT! WILL BE APPEARING THE FOLLOWING WEEK AT THE SPANISH CLUB, THE GIG HAS BEEN RE-SCHEDULED BACK A WEEK TO SATURDAY JUNE 7TH - REPEAT: SATURDAY JUNE 7TH, AT THE SPANISH CLUB, JOHNSON ST FITZROY.

WE REGRET ANY CONFUSION THIS MAY HAVE CAUSED. THE GOOD NEWS IS THIS PERFORMANCE WILL BE FREE OF CHARGE, AND AS IT IS PRECISELY 355 DAYS SINCE ROOT! APPEARED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN PUBLIC AT THIS VERY VENUE, THE BAND WILL BE PERFORMING A SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE 1st ANNIVERSARY CEREMONY, SUPPORTED BY P-TEX AND CRYSTAL THOMAS & THE FLOWERS OF EVIL.

FOLLOWING THIS APPEARANCE, THE BAND WILL BE RETREATING TO THE STUDIO TO FINISH WORK ON THEIR NEW SINGLE, WHICH IS PLANNED FOR RELEASE TO CO-INCIDE WITH MELBOURNE AND SYDNEY PERFORMANCES LATER THIS YEAR.

Please note: The upcoming Spanish Club gig has been pushed back one week. Repeat: The upcoming Spanish Club gig will be on the 7th of June. Please note the change of date.

In other news: ROOT! will be releasing their first single some time around August-November. More information on all fronts to be coming soon.

New news! Touring is beginning in a big way, ROOT! fans.

Remember The Spanish Club? The place that closed down when ROOT! played their first gig ever there in 2007? Well, ROOT! are now so popular, they've been asked to play there again on May 21, 2008. Go figure that one out.

Speaking of Sydney and Brisbane (now) ROOT! are going to cross the border on October 11th for the Sound of Spring Festival in Brisbane, Queensland. Some time in August, ROOT! will be in Sydney, New South Wales for possibly more than one gig. Good news all round, and more information on those Sydney gigs soon.

Firstly, apologies for the lack of updates. As if that makes it any better. New news! ROOT! are going to be taking stage at the Espy again! Yes, home to nearly 40% of 2007's ROOT! gigs, The Espy will finally see the band for the first time this year.
