The ROOT! Compendium - Old news - September, 2008

Well, it's been a long time coming but its here: updates. The most interesting of which is a new Melbourne date has been added to the tour roster, October 31, 2008 at the Northcote Social Club.

Since the release of Get Up Yourself, the single, there have been many new tracks added to the lyrics page. These are: Get Up Yourself, Get Up Yourself Part 2 and DC Root's Failure from the single. To accompany these: Introducing Get Up Yourself, the Get Up Yourself tour intro and a Get Up Yourself tour promo. Further new additions include: Joe Bloggs Blogs, Thank God You're Here, I Hang Out With The Guys In Jet('s Uncle) and an untitled Stephanie Rice poem.

As of this update, most of those lyrics pages don't have those little notes at the bottom. Sorry. There was enough work involved in getting them up as-is. Also soon to be here are the pages for the two recent gigs (Sydney and Brisbane) which there are several reviews for. Good job!

Clarification on the Spiegeltent show: It will not be on the 11th as first reports indicated. The correct date is the 5th of November. Repeat: ROOT! will play live at The Famous Spiegeltent, Wednesday November 5, 2008.

Long overdue pages on the ROOT! Compendium have now been added. Specifically, concert pages for May 10, 2008 (The Old Bar), May 24, 2008 (The Espy), June 7, 2008 (The Spanish Club), August 23, 2008 (The Evelyn Hotel) and August 30, 2008 (The Vanguard, Sydney). Please send in any reviews, pictures, notes, anecdotes, stories, rambles, rants, raves, moans, whines or recordings of these (or any other) dates. They can be accessed through the archive page.

Update: New ROOT! shows announced! For those of you Sydneysiders who are sick of wondering "When are they coming back?" your largely rhetorical question which you probably kept to yourself has been answered (also Melbournians):

November 11 - ROOT! returns to Sydney to play at the famous, atmospheric Spiegeltent.
